Oscar & Olivia offer a different and personal way to choose your wedding rings and diamond jewellery. If you would like to know a little more about us, our products, or services before making an appointment then this page will answer some of the most commonly asked questions.

WEDDING RING SERVICE

What areas do you cover?

Oscar & Olivia is based in Manchester and we currently cover Cheshire, Liverpool, Merseyside, West Midlands, West Yorkshire and North Wales (anywhere within a 40 mile radius from Manchester) with in-person appointments.

We also offer virtual consultations for couples living further afield. In some instances we may then follow up with in person visits to customers elsewhere in the UK including Birmingham and London to the south and the Lake District to the north.

How do we book a consultation?

Simply complete our booking form and someone will reach out within 24 hours to discuss arrangements for your consultation. We usually offer home visits however if you are in the process of moving or would prefer to meet in an office environment this can be arranged between the hours of 9am and 5pm - we have access to any Regus office throughout the UK so we can generally find a convenient location for you.

Is there an option to meet you before a consultation?

We showcase our range at a number of wedding shows in the North West of England.If you are interested in meeting the team ahead of a consultation then we would love to meet you at one of these events.

Is there a consultation fee?

No, our wedding ring and bespoke jewellery consultations alre always complimentary. We also get in touch before we meet so that we have an idea of your preferred wedding ring styles and provide you with an idea of the approximate cost.

What times are consultations available?

Our consultations are generally available Tuesday to Friday 6pm or 8pm and on a Saturday 12.30pm, 2/2.00pm and 4/4.30pm

How long are wedding ring consultations?

Usually if you’re looking for a ladies and gents ring we advise to keep free about 90 minutes.

Do we have to buy both our rings?

Our wedding ring consultations are no obligation. If you are only looking for one ring we are still happy to visit you.

Do we have to confirm a purchase during the meeting?

Absolutely not. With Oscar and Olivia there is never any pressure to buy, we hope that the quality of our service and product will be sufficient to help you make the right choice whether that be during our consultation or once you have given it further thought.

What does a consultation involve?

Your consultant will guide you through an extremely large range of gorgeous wedding rings and will ask the right questions in order to help you find your perfect match. Read more here.

Do you offer bespoke / shaped wedding rings?

Yes, Oscar & Olivia specialise in bespoke and shaped engagement rings. Find out how we match a wedding ring to your engagement ring or create a unique wedding ring design here.

Do you take a deposit for bespoke ring design?

Yes there is a lot of work that goes into producing visuals for your agreement so we ask for a £250 deposit at the consultation. This helps form an initial bond as we will be working together for a while sometimes. If you are not happy with finished designs we will return your deposit in full.

How long does bespoke or shaped wedding ring design take?

Your engagement ring will be back in your care within 7/10 days and your CAD image or images will follow 7/10 days after that. If you would like a wax model that will follow in around 3 weeks and if you require a silver sample please allow a further 3/4 weeks.

Is it safe to carry so much jewellery to consultations?

To protect our consultants all our samples are made in silver with CZ (Cubic Zirconia) stones rather than valuable golds and diamonds.

O&O JEWELLERY

Where are O&O rings made?

90% of our rings are manufactured in either Europe or the UK where we can ensure you are getting the very best quality for a lifetime of wear.

What metals are rings made with?

Our range includes wedding rings in 9ct, 14ct and 18ct white, rose and yellow gold along with platinum and natural and black zirconia including some wooden inlays.

What diamonds are offered?

We tend to advise G SI (see our guides on diamond colour and clarity) but we also offer H SI, F VS and D/E VVS, We can also source different grades if you wish to match to existing diamonds.

Can jewellery be engraved?

Yes in addition to standard script font, we can provide unique engraving. Past examples include dice engraved for a couple marrying in Las Vegas and a tractor tyre tread copy for a farmer's ring.

The cost for engraving the inside of the ring is approximately £45 or the outside £150. Please contact us for a quote.

How are items packaged?

At Oscar & Olivia Jewellery presentation is very important. We ensure every last detail is perfect when you purchase engagement rings, wedding rings, eternity rings, diamonds and other jewellery. All our jewellery is presented in high quality boxes and discreet packaging is used for fulfilment of all online and postal orders.

AFTERCARE & MAINTENANCE

Do you offer wedding ring aftercare?

Yes, we offer a few different options for product care. We offer annual check and inspection on all stone set products and a complimentary light clean (steam and service). Please call 07538201383 for further information.

Do you provide jewellery repairs?

Yes all products purchased from us will come with cost price repairs. Products that are not purchased from us can be repaired through us at low cost.

Do you charge to resize rings?

Yes if you have asked for a ring to be made a certain size and found out that it does not fit then we do charge a fee of £135 for 18ct white gold and £95 for platinum, 18ct yellow/rose. Pricing may vary depending on the style of ring. Please note: Rings that have diamonds all the way round cannot be re-sized. If you are uncertain of the size we can send a group of 3 ring sizers through the post
to make sure you receive the correct size from an order, it is ideal to have an idea of
what you may be first so we know which sets to send.

Please note that black zirconia rings cannot be resized.

How long does it take to re-size a ring?

Generally, we can have your ring back to you within 10/14 days. If your ring needs re setting then please allow 4/6 weeks

PAYMENTS

What payments do you accept?

We accept Paypal, credit or debit cards or cash (appointments only).

Do you offer a payment plan?

If you are looking to spread the cost ahead of your wedding, we offer an interest free standing order package. To ensure delivery 3 months ahead of your wedding, divide the cost by the remaining months.

When do we receive our rings with the payment plan option?

Your rings are made 3 months before the final payment is due. When they are ready we send you a lovely video of your rings as a sneak preview before sending your rings on receipt of your final payment.

Are we able to settle a payment plan early?

Yes this is absolutely fine. If this is before our planned schedule your rings will take approximately 4-6 weeks to make and deliver.

What happens if we need to cancel an order?

If your ring(s) has not been proceeded (which is generally 9 months before the wedding) then a full refund will be provided to the payment bank or card account. If the ring(s) has been proceeded then unfortunately all of the deposits are non refundable and only when fully paid can the ring(s) be released to you.

GUARANTEES

Do you provide a guarantee for jewellery?

Yes we offer a 3 year manufacture guarantee on our jewellery products. We truly believe in our rings and only source the highest quality as we know that your rings will have a lifetime of wear. Please note that we are unable to guarantee against normal wear and tear, which includes damage arising through hard surface knocks or any other damage caused by the wearer in day to day use. Over time the finish will change and small scratches will appear which is perfectly normal.

RETURNS

Can I return my ring if the size is incorrect?

Your ring may only be returned for re-sizing if order fulfillment does not match the ring size ordered. If you are unsure of the correct ring sizer then please request ring sizers at the point of sale.

What if a diamond become loose or falls out?

If your ring is missing any diamonds upon receipt please contact us and we will cover the cost of return and replacement.

If a diamond becomes loose or separated over time with no accidental damage then repair is covered by our lifetime manufacture guarantee. Where accidental damage is involved, such as a knock, then we offer a cost price repair service.

Can bespoke jewellery be returned?

Any items which have been especially commissioned, including engraved jewellery and shaped wedding weddings are non returnable and non refundable except in the case of manufacturing fault.

DELIVERY / SECURITY

How do we receive our rings?

All rings are sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery. This service is fully insured with receipt assured by 1pm the following day. A tracking reference and link is always provided.

Is Royal Mail Special Delivery safe?

We understand that you are concerned that your rings are safe. We choose Special Delivery as it is fully tracked and insured. A dedicated business line is available for support for us in the event of any incident arising.
