Repair assessment
Start with the jewellery itself.
The right repair depends on the item, metal, construction, stones and condition. Gareth can assess ring resizing, damaged chains and bracelets, replacement stones, worn claws or settings, polishing, refinishing and damage to rings.
Send an enquiry first. Gareth will explain whether to bring the item to the private Bury showroom or use the secure-postage option, then provide a clear quotation before you decide.

Specialist micro-plating
A fresh platinum-white or yellow-gold finish.
For suitable white-gold rings, choose a thick high-micron platinum plate instead of standard rhodium, or a thick yellow-gold micron plate for a warm new look. The coating does not damage the ring and is intended for normal everyday wear.
If either covered finish wears through within five years, Oscar & Olivia will reapply it once free of charge, subject to assessment of the ring and the guarantee terms confirmed when the work is accepted.
Collection or secure delivery
Choose the handover that suits you.
Private Bury showroom
Bring your ring to the showroom by appointment. It is recorded and signed into Gareth’s care, with insurance applying once it has been received.
Secure postage
Send the ring using the agreed insured method. Return is by insured Royal Mail Special Delivery with a signature required. Postage is additional, normally from £15 and confirmed according to the item’s value.
10–14 days maximum
The expected maximum lead time for the specialist finish service is 10–14 days after the ring has been received and the work agreed.
Checked before return
The finished item is checked before collection or insured dispatch. Gareth will confirm any item-specific care advice.

Can you quote every repair from a photograph?
A photograph is a useful starting point, but a reliable quotation normally requires inspection because the metal, construction, stones and extent of damage affect the work.
Is every ring suitable for micro-plating?
No. The ring must be assessed first. Gareth will explain whether the construction, stones, condition and existing finish make it suitable.
What does the five-year finish guarantee cover?
If the covered platinum-white or yellow-gold finish wears through within five years, Oscar & Olivia will reapply it once free of charge, subject to inspection and the terms supplied with the accepted work.
