Jewellery repairs, clearly explained.
Ask Gareth about ring resizing, damaged chains and bracelets, replacement stones, worn claws or settings, polishing and damage to rings. Every item is assessed personally and no work begins until the options and cost are agreed.
Start with the jewellery itself.
The right repair depends on the item, metal, construction, stones and condition. Send an enquiry first and, if useful, include a clear description of the problem.
Gareth will explain whether to bring the item to the private Bury showroom or use the secure-postage option. You will receive a clear quotation before deciding whether to proceed.
Describe your jewelleryJewellery repair questions
Can you quote every repair from a photograph?
A photograph is a useful starting point, but a reliable quotation normally requires inspection because the metal, construction, stones and extent of damage affect the work.
Will any work begin straight away?
No. Gareth will explain the recommended work and cost first. Nothing begins until you have agreed how you would like to proceed.
Can I send jewellery securely?
Depending on the item, Gareth may be able to arrange an agreed insured-postage method. He will explain the safest handover and return option before you send anything.
Let’s look at what can be done.
Tell Gareth about your jewellery and arrange an assessment.
